Poems from a clothesline by Katherine Edward. Drawings / blueprints using the cyanotype process by Melissa Haney. The Sky was 1950 Blue is a handcrafted chapbook published in a limited edition by JackPine Press. The cover of the book was literally developed in the sunshine.
"If only they could chatter up the wind. Stories, so many to tell." The series of poems shines a light on a protagonist confined by the many layers of wallpaper closing in on her, her clothesline of costumes, her husband's sharpened knives, all confined in "less air than a fly needs as it hammers a window to escape."
