Threads weaves together five artists. Four artists, Ann Diehl, Laura Hargrave, Andrew Hood and Tricia Sellmer, speak directly to the subject of memory loss, empathy, and the everyday struggle of navigating through familiar and unfamiliar territory when coping with dementia. The fifth artist / artisan and weaver, Jan Seedhouse is the daughter of the artist, Sylvia Garay, who, at age 93 struggles with dementia. Sylvia Garay’s exhibition, Sylvia Garay: A Retrospective surveys the breadth of her work over a seventy year span.
Exhibitions curated by Vicci Ryan, Jan Seedhouse, and Tricia Sellmer.
